Session 2: Waste Redefined!
We took a look at waste, from trash to water to food to energy. Then we went outside and scavenged the Fullerton Arboretum for waste to turn into a terraced garden. It will sit there waiting for the first rains to come, to fill it. The materials we used were found on site, and will act as a sponge to collect and hold water, and eventually to be a home for plants. Red-faced and thirsty, but full of smiles, we completed our project.
Jenna Wadsworth McCarty of Phoenix Infinite partners with Dr. Bill Roley to teach this 5-part series at the Fullerton Arboretum.
